Mailing lists
From Blug.in
We use several mailing lists for the purpose discussing technical and non-technical subjects related to Linux and Free and Open Source Software (FOSS).
We pride ourselves at the high SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) that our lists exhibit, and despite the name "linux-bangalore", our list-membership spreads across the country and even across the world.
Feel free to join any or all of these lists!
Before plunging in and shooting off questions, read the List Rules.

[edit] The Non-Technical List
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/linux-bangalore-non-tech
This list caters to NON-technical discussions about Linux and the Bangalore Linux User Group. This is also the list to discuss this website.
Warning: Technical discussions are *not* encouraged here.
Traffic on this list is usually not very high, but can potentially rise just before or after any events or activities we participate in.
[edit] The Announcement List
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/linux-bangalore
This list is an announcement-only list, which means that no one except the list moderators can post to it.
Announcements will usually be about upcoming meetings, events and any news that the community should be aware of.
Everyone should be subscribed to this list as one would otherwise miss important announcements regarding both the BLUG and the linux-bangalore lists. We try and avoid crossposting to the other lists.
